The Moon Goddess

Three prints inspired by a photograph of a rock carving, known as the  “ Goddess of Laussel”, found in Europe and thought to have been carved in rock around 22,000 - 18,000 BC. She is depicted holding a crescent moon in her right hand.

Depictions of women and Luna cycles seams to be a recurring theme  in European pre historic cultures.
